Loving my laptop!!

I think most of you locals know I have my laptop back after 6 or so long weeks. Two words Circuit City. Don't even get me started. I went through HELL and back with them! I've been stamping up a storm for my BIG Superbowl Sunday class at Lunds in Plymouth. I still have a few spots left so email me if you'd like to join us. Its going to be a blast. I have a party every year as well as a Halloween party. We are making a total of five cards including winter and Valentine cards. I also added a new class at Smudges. It will be next Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 10 am. I had to reschedule the class I was suppose to teach today. Please sign up early if you want to come. I am going to mix up things in my next class at Smudges. We will make two winter cards and two Valentines. I will still be serving cocoa and treats. I hope you can join me as it will be a *lovely, snowy* class!! I am unable to post any pics of my cards at this time. Hopefully by Monday I will have my printer issues resolved. Have a nice weekend. I'm an OX.....Happy Chinese New Year!!

Greetings from Golden Valley, MN....First of all, my laptop has been located and I hope and pray it survives the trip from NH to MN this week. Thanks Dad for picking it up for me yesterday at the former Circuit City in Amherst, NH. There is hope for my baby returning to its Mama after a month and a half!!! Whoo hoo.

I had a wonderful time at my friend Nancy's last nite. She invited me to her Chinese New Year's celebration. Nancy and her Chinese friends and neighbors celebrated the year of the OX just a couple days early. Nancy was certainly the hostess with the mostess and the food was amazing!! Yumo. Can you say the most delicious pork POT sticklers ever!!! It was a very fun nite out despite our lovely FRIGID weather. I am not kidding when I say this!! I pumped gas last nite around 5 and my hands were frozen when I went inside the store to pay. Yes, I did have gloves on too. I could not get my hands to work to pull out my credit card from my wallet. I had to step out of line and work it baby!!! My poor hands. That's MN for you.

Oh hi Jan in lovely San Diego if you are reading this you lucky dog. You better go to Paper Tales in San Diego before you come home or you will be dead meat!!

OK...enough boring Sunday nonsense from the library! I did pop into Starbacks this am after chatting up a storm with *MAMA Ellie* and I'm in! I pledged my 5 hours for those of you who know what I'm talking about. It's a promise I made to give 5 hours to help my community in the near future in exchange for a free cuppa JOE. I was able to glance over the newspaper quickly too. I'm off to the laundramat now to wash my KING size mattress pad. I don't want to put it off any longer but I dislike going there and stairing at the machines!! It broke my laundry machine before so I have to go there!!! Bad pad.

I will post a card hopefully within the next week. I hope you can come to one of my new classes soon. It would be so nice to see some of my MN friends again. Big hugs and happy New Year. I found out last year I am an OX at the Chinese New Year's party. I will for sure probably buy my friend Missy Ballance's new OX stamp now especially after finding out I'm an OX according to my birthdate. Ta ta...Tami

PS...My holiday vacation to New England was SO wonderful. I am very lucky to have such a loving family. They spoil me rotten and I am so grateful. Thanks family!!

Surprise, I'm back online!!

Greetings from Pine City, MN. I'm 85 miles from home at a lovely scrapbooking retreat but just for 48 hrs. I did go ice fishing yesterday out on Cross Lake. I know its all SO hard to believe! I haven't had my laptop for 5 weeks so therefore no blog update. I won't get into it now as its a long painful story. I was also in New England for a wonderful three week vacation. So on that note, Happy New Year. I do not have any cards to share at this time but I have a few classes to add to the 'ole blog. I promise to update just as soon as I can but its a little difficult to email people or scan anything when you have no computer. Its been bittersweet. Please note my two newest classes. Tami!!!

Happy Holidays my friends!!

How are those *dreaded* Christmas cards coming along friends? I am putting this card on my blog tonight for my good friend *Candy* as I loaned her my Missy Ballance mail truck stamp. I love it so much. Such a happy stamp! I am really a kid at heart. I hate to say this but I haven't made any new holiday cards to mail out yet. I do have a box of 12 or so as an emergency backup. I did send out a couple today to a special friend in Washington and another friend in Brainerd, MN but that's it.

I'm not sure if I will have time to make any cards before I leave town on Sunday but the thought was there. This will probably be my last post of the year as I'm going on holidays to New England. I can hardly wait to see my family. It has been way too long. I hope you have a joyous holiday season. Tonight the weather is suppose to drop to only two degrees. Can you say chilly? Brrrrrrrrrr for sure!! We had a pretty good measurable snow storm on Monday. I got plowed out early Tuesday morning. I *had* to go out shopping today and run several errands. Tubing! We need snow...

It was only 9 degrees around 7ish on Friday am. I taught a Christmas Cuties class at Smudges today. I am freezing right now and so tired. I need to get to bed but my laptop has consumed me for hours. My butt is asleep! Have a super weekend peeps and stay warm. I will be stamping up a storm and getting ready for a class at Cindy's in Eden Prarie. A day late and a dollar short.

I'm back again and I'm having terrible guilt for not posting a card today. Blogger is acting up again. Oh geez Louise. Anyway, BOO to you!

Happy belated Halloween! I taught this card at my annual Halloween party. I stamped it's all in the details on the back (thanks Tamara for buying me that great stamp...you rock little one). So back to the holidays (yikes)...Happy Christmas. Merry Thanksgiving. You get my drift. Bye again...Tami and thanks for visiting my crazy blog! Cupcake Crop Review!!

Hello peeps. I decided to treat myself and sign up for a Cupcake Crop (10 am to 10 pm)held Saturday, Nov. 15 at The Pine City Scrapbooking Co. in Pine City, MN. It was totally awesome and I would give it a 10! Marni and her very friendly staff really out did themselves and far exceeded my expectations. I can not wait to go back next year to another crop. I will be teaching a Christmas Card class there on Saturday, Nov. 29 if you'd like to join me. The class is at 1 pm and we will be making five sweet cards. I *quickly* (bad Tami) drove 162 miles round trip yesterday and it was so worth the price of admission!! Marni really has an eye for detail and everything was so pretty....the cupcakes delicious and lots of candy. Who doesn't like chocolate and cupcakes?? The BIG tables were set up so nice and we had so much room (a little gift--a princess chipboard book), beads, and an adorable cupcake placecard. We played a game, there were a couple of really nice door prizes, and we even made a sweet cupcake card. Dinner was pizza from the Pizza Pub in Pine City. Yumo! Its so good. The store was just a rocking and jammed full of NICE people! There was a full crop scrapping in the back area (the store can accomodate up to 24 guests in the back-12 bedrooms with 2 beds per room), a FULL class of 15 at 2 pm, the Cupcake Crop, and a wonderful Holiday Open House with a professional photographer even taken photos. Unbelievable. And, the store had an all day Make and Take with yummy holiday treats and hot apple cider. The store is so big and spacious and clean as a whistle. I love all the *Marni* touches, the abundant samples scattered around this very clean and beautifully decorated store. This sweet woman Marni is insane but we love her and her husband RON is just a breath of fresh air. Each employee was so friendly and so helpful all day long. I can't say enough good things about this store. Kudos to The Pine City Scrapbooking Co. Leave it to small town USA to blow my socks off!! I will be back soon. I especially enjoyed my *girl time* with my sweet little friend Jodi bug that recently beat her cancer. We missed you Wendy but I hope you feel better soon. I did give her the low down today.
