Hello Hello...anyone home??

I know its late, I know I'm weary, I know I'm lonely, I know I'm a turkey but I just couldn't resist blogging in the wee hours because again I can't sleep. I wanted to share Mr. Turkey with you before he went bye bye. Dang what's a girl to do when she can't sleep?? I've been deleting some old files to free up some space on the 'ole laptop because I have to somehow photograph a few things. Ruth Ann if you are reading this post I have BIG news for you!! I actually finished my vintage CD calendar. I am so so happy!!

Right now I can't stop thinking about AMY girl at CHA. She must be in her glories at that big show. I am so jealour but so happy for her. Amy is an online friend and a power stamper/blogger. She won the trip to California and loves anything with owls. She is listed on my blog if you want to check out her fabbo work and she is the Queen of Nicenessfor sure!! Anyway I am just sick about the Vikings losing on Sunday. I actully cried. Can you believe it but I am happy for the Saints. Looking forward to Superbowl Sunday and the BIG game after my Superbowl Stamping Party at Lunds. I better get back in bed and try to sleep for a few hours. I think its because my mind is racing in so many directions. I have so much to get done this week and so much on my mind. I should take up medication (LOL) I mean meditation and yoga!! HA HA as my old boss Gary used to say "that dog ain't gonna hunt". RIP Gary. Good day my friends. I'll be back real soon. Tami

PS. Welcome home Sandy(she is part of the famous "Candy duo"!!) Sandy plus Carrie equals Candy. I can hear the wind now just a blowing and Sandy just returned to icy and rainy MN from sunny Florida. Here you need either ice skates, golashes or snow shoes!! The cold weather will return this week. OH JOY!! I need to get a bag of Ice Melt for our new driveway which is literally going to turn into glare ice when the snow and water refreezes. What a sloppy mess. I certainly hope Mr. Winter doesn't ruin it as I waited so very long to get a new driveway!! I hope this post did not bore you to death. Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a little love as I really do need it.

ruff ruff...won't you be mine?? XOXO

Just one more ATC for good measure!! I bought the epoxy stickers (K and Company)at Michael's and they are also at Archiver's. So are you Love Struck yet? I hope I am strong and can stay away from that new line by Making Memories. Then there's the new Basic Grey line. And Memory Box and Cosmo Cricket. What's a girl to do??? HELP!! I must get back on track!! Thanks for visiting. Tami :p

PS. 'Ole woodie girl is planning to teach a class at Smudges real soon for the fabo *Candy duo*. If you are local we'd love to have you join us for a stamping good time!! More details soon so please check back. Later gators. Smile

Another ATC and the Party is on!!

Hello. Its very late and I can't sleep. Watching Anderson Cooper on CNN right now. Major Cooper fan!! Are you getting sick of my ATCs yet? I did make all the ones I have posted this week. I was naughty on Friday and slipped back to my old bad shopping habits so to punish myself I have to make yet another Saving Haiti donation. The Superbowl Sunday Party is a go for Feb. 7 at Lunds!! I hope you can join me for a stamping good time complete with five projects and of course a few prizes. Email me if you'd like to come. The festivities will end before the game starts so if you are a football fan such as myself you will still have time to view the game. I really appreciate advance signups and plan to start *noonish* (12-12:30). Keep your eyes peeled for an email this weekend. We had more freezing rain on Friday nite and let me tell you I was slip sliding away on the way home. I wish I could fall sleep but I'm wide awake so I've been doing laundry, wrapping Christmas gifts (yes in January), packing up a *stamp transaction* and now I'm blogging. On a very sad note I found out via email two lovely Minnesota women passed away this week. My heart is so heavy right now with their passing. Life is so precious. One never knows what today or tomorrow will bring. Good nite my friends. I guess I should be saying a very early good morning to you. I am also thinking about the people living in CA (Hi Tracy)and all the lucky people at CHA. I can't believe how many times I blogged this week. Are you impressed? I am. I had a great week! How about you? Happy weekend. Tami

Port-Au-Prince, Haiti

I have been glued to the TV this week watching the news and the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake. My heart is just aching for every single person in that country. It is so devastating. I couldn't sleep last nite so I watched Anderson Cooper on CNN. What a remarkable job all the journalists do under such horrific circumstances. I'd be crying every minute. It is especially hard to watch the dead being scooped up with a bulldoser and then dropped into a dump trunk but they have to do what is necessary. I feel so sorry for every single person in Haiti but think how horrific it must be for the people that are handling and disposing the deceased. God bless them. They are saying over 100,000 people are dead. I heard one report of 140,000. I can only imagine the stence in Haiti on day 3. I hope everyone will consider making the $10.00 donation to the Red Cross. It is a very small amount for such a good cause. I for sure plan to do it tomorrow morning. We Americans are just so lucky to live in the USA. Haiti is such a devasted country and certainly one of the poorest. We have it so good here.

In closing, go Vikings. I can hardly wait until Sunday to watch the game. Have a nice weekend. And yes Amy, nice certainly does matter. We need to love one another and treat people with kindness. Life is so precious and one never knows what today or tomorrow will bring. Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog. Tami

HAPPY 2010!!

Just popping in to say hello and happy 2010. I know its been like a month or so since I last blogged but I was out of town for the holidays and crazy busy with 'tis the season and whatnot before I left. I am happy to report I've been doing great in the card dept. I have mailed out four birthday cards and one thank you note so far this month. Woo hoo for me plus I sent out several winter notes before I flew back home. Since my return home to the frozen tundra last weekend, I became wicked sick with a bad cold on Monday.

Thanks for all your emails. I have missed you too. I decided I'd share a card with you I mailed out Thursday. Its an oldie but so glad I had it on hand in a pinch! I welcome your comments. To be quite honest I thought about giving up blogging this year for several reasons. It takes up a lot of my time for starters. Anyway I do plan to blog like once or twice a month. Thanks for stopping by and happy winter. I will leave you with a little funny story especially for my friends that don't get any snow. On Wednesday afternoon I had four men up on my roof raking it to prevent ice damns. After raking they shoveled off both decks and a fifth guy used a snow blower to get all the snow off our new driveway. I thought it was pretty funny. Even though I was not feeling well I stil went outside to see all the action!! I swear I got sick from all the germs on the airplane. I was talking to my neighbor today while rolling out the trash and she too got sick after returning home from NY. Oh well germs happen. I did have a wonderful and relaxing vacation with my family. Lastly, I am thinking about all the people in Haiti and praying for them. So so sad. It seems like its always something. Thanks for stopping by. Tami :)

Another class down and another card!!

Hello and happy Monday. Its 1 am and I just woke up from the sofa. I thought I'd check my weekend emails prior to bed and Jan so graciously photographed one of my cards so I thought I'd do a quick blog. I had a wonderful class on Sunday at Lunds and such a nice bunch of ladies. Thanks girlfriends. You totally rock!! My final classes of 2009 (hopefully before the holidays) will be at Caribou and Smudges. I will let you know the dates once I know!! LOL!! I still have to post Erin's adorable ATC from last week just as soon as I finish a class order today and return home from my Monday errands. Have a great day friends and I promise to blog more this week. I have lots of new cards to share with you and I may even do a little holiday decorating if I'm not out shopping this week. I picked up the Sunday paper and can you say WOW. Oh my...it was plump full of ads. Wouldn't you know I got the paper with two Michael's ads in it!! Yikes!!

PS. I was really naughty Saturday afternoon and went to seven different places including Bachman's Holiday open house, Starbucks, a little lunch, and to the bank. I *had to* go to Archiver's in hopes of purchasing another Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses mini paper book. Bad move!! They were having a BIG sale and it was SO mobbed. I never did find what I went for but did find some other items I just had to have. I even put back a few items at the register!! Then onto Michael's and you could not move in there either. They too did not have what I went for. I only bought a box of mini glue dots there and some stickers then to Byerly's for a few groceries. Maple Grove is dangerous for me!! I did go to Target on Thursay morning early (but not early enough I guess) and was not able to score a Cities 97 cd for my collection as they ran out before I got to the table inside. Once again I was sad (no cd) so I left after picking up a few items and went for a much needed haircut. Gosh after writing all this how can I even think about going back out this week!! 'Tis the season to be jolly. I guess its the season I shop for Tami!! LOL!! Thanks for stopping by friends. Tami

A new Full Moon discovery!!

Hey peeps. Its the middle of the night and I can't sleep. Watching a little CNN because I'm such a news junkie. I decided to post this picture because I'm thinking I'm pretty COOL. Yah about as cool as a cucumber like my Poppy (grandfather) use to say to me. Anyway, what do you get when you combine Martha's punch A with punch B? Then sprinkle in a third Martha Stewart punch and presto!! If you want to find out then hop on over to the Memory Box blog and view my weekly Friday blog. I don't know if this has been done before but I'm claiming it baby. LOL!!! Happy Friday. Its going to be HOT and HUMID this weekend. Great, just what I hate (humidity). If you want to have a little fun on Sunday with some other great ladies then please come to my Memory Box stamping class at Lunds. The class will be held upstairs in their beautiful air conditioned Community Room. It has lots of windows and the lighting is really terrific. We always have fun and lots of laughs. I'm still accepting signups and the class is available "to go" if you can't make it. We are making five really nice Memory Box cards (envies included). Need I say more? Remember its all in the details!! :D Happy Friday my friends. Tami PS. My HP laptop continues to crash everyday and it gets HOT just like its owner! LOL!! It took me three tries on this post as well as on the Memory Box blog. I wish I could get a new one but this baby ain't that old!! I hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by. And gosh darn it please leave me a little blog love. You know I need it!! xoxox

Top of the Morning to you!!

Hello! I know I have been a bad blogger but I have been busy and blogging is very time consuming. Here is the make and take project from when I went up to The Pine City Scrapbooking Company a few weekends ago. This card was mounted on a brown kraft gift bag however mine fell off with the adhesive I used that I purchased at Micheals. I hate when something falls apart!! Anyway it opens and the card is inside. Velco is also used. Marni (owner) did a great job designing it and teaching it to us crazy gals!!

Its 4 am and I can't sleep so I decided to work on a few things (updating blog and pack for my upcoming trip). I just tripped over my Cuttlebug (it has always had a broken handle) and that doesn't feel too good on ones toes in the wee hours when you least expect it. That will teach me from putting it on the floor!! I let out a few choice words and hope I didn't wake up the neighbors (sprinklers were in my favor for once)!!

Please be sure to go the Memory Box blog Click on the blinkie on top of my blog to take you there and check out my Friday guest blog. AOL acted up so bad for me late Thursday nite into Friday am. I am still having major laptop power and battery issue too. It was so awful I just wanted to throw in the towel as far as blogging is concerned. It takes so long to type up everything and I kept losing my text. Its always freakin' something I tell you. On a good note, I had a great time at the Glimmer Mist class I took on Friday. The teacher and my good friend Mary totally rocked the house!! I only bought one thing (key lime Glimmer Mist as I'm currently on a pretty tight budget). Trust me I wanted to go crazy and get tons more stuff. It was torture. I was just there last Saturday for the entire day so I had to be a good girl yesterday!! Restraint...LOL!!

I'm leaving town on Sunday afternoon for a few days of "R & R" and good times at the cabin which I've never been to before. Road trip with Cheri!! Fun, fun, fun!! I will try and check in if I go to Laurel's and her shop Create-A-Card Studio in Brainerd, MN . I will use her computer if I make it over to her lovely shop!! I hope so as its always a blast and stopping off at the Green Lantern near her home is always great fun too!! I will be in Malmo Bay on Millec Lacs Lake for a few days with my friends hopefully having a wonderful girl's summer get-together!! We won't be fishing either but will find other things to keep us busy...cocktails, stamping, scrapbooking, laughing, shopping, etc. I can't wait to fire up the grill and have a cookout. We are going to have smores too!! YUMMO. Well I better sign off and I think I will pack a bit. Please be sure to tell me what you think of the Memory Box card I designed on Thursday. Dave recently released ten new clear stamp sets and of course I want a couple what a surprise right?? I worked with the Glitterati paper collection and its wild to say the least. Lots of love and sunshine wishes my friends!! Your friend Tami : )

PS. Read this if you are local!! I went to Salad Creations in Maple Grove for supper on Friday nite. I can not say enough wonderful things about this place!! I give it a perfect 10 on everything and it was so cute and so clean!! The employees, the food, and the establishment were all TOP notch including the very clean restroom. The food (salads, wraps, homemade cookies) all looked so fresh and were beautifully displayed. I have never seen anything like it especially the lettuce displays/containers and the cute vegetable themed fabric hats the employees all sported!! I had a buffalo chicken salad wrap and it was so good. Thanks Cheryl for the heads up on this place and I will be returning soon. They have a punch card too. I will list the info. on my blog but its off Bass Lake Road kind of near CVS. TTYL and thanks for stopping by.

Memory Box Friday Inspiration!!

Hello friends-

How the heck are you peeps? No news is good news? Not the case here.

Please check my Friday post on the Memory Box blog (Dave's). I am sorry I haven't posted anything since Sunday but I've been busy with other pressing matters that needed my immediate attention.

Is anyone interested in signing up for my Graphic 45 Card Class at 10 am on Saturday in St. Paul? Its going to rain this weekend and be really chilly according to the news/weather report I am watching right now as I type this blog. Come on now, you know you want to stamp with me and Cheri!! I feel like a broken record but I need more signups!! We are making four really nice Graphic 45 cards and a little purse complete with chocolate. The ladies in my other classes loved the cards so they said. I hope to post another class sample later on today after I finish making up the kits for my Saturday class. You can also order the class "to go." If you'd like to do this please email me and we can discuss the details.

I have two more Graphic 45 classes scheduled at Anchor Paper (Plymouth) next week and then I'm going on a mini vacation with some of my friends up to Mille Lacs Lake. As the Minnesotans say we're "going up North". I am very excited as I will be seeing some of my long lost friends and will hopefully visit Laurel in Brainerd. She owns Create-A-Card Studio.

So long for now my friends. Again, please give me some blog love over on the Memory Box blog. Dave recently released ten new clear sets and I want some of the sets really bad. I *need* some especially the penguin at the beach!! I don't ask for much peeps so please leave me some love. I swear to you I never thought I'd be one begging for comments. When it takes a person X amount of hours to design, scan, crop, and write up card directions for one little blog post a little love is greatly appreciated. I know people don't always leave comments but they certainly do if there is blog candy involved!! LOL. I also realize some people just lurk and also not everyone likes every card. In my case, I can't begin to tell you how long it takes me to make a card and then type up the card directions, crop the card, and proofread it over and over and over. I'm sure some of you are thinking what the heck is she blabbing on and on about??? Its enough to drive me crazy but I do love the weekly card challenge and for once in five weeks my laptop did not crash on Thursday. Thank you God. I am a huge Memory Box fan so I'll do just about anything!! Will work for more rubber!! LOL!!

Have a great Friday my friends and weekend too. I send you lots of love. Tami XOX
PS. What do you have planned for the weekend? I'd love to know!! I will be in St. Paul and Roseville this weekend. I may go to the Edina Art Fair . Its a BIG maybe as I won't be able to purchase anything:(. Irene my friend is turning 82 on Saturday and she invited me to her birthday party in Cambridge on Sunday. My friend Mary wants me to come to the Super Crop at Archiver's on Sunday. What's a girl to do? Stay home, its cheaper!! What do I want to do? Teach on Saturday in the morning and then attend the Archiver's Saturday crop at 3 pm. I'd love to go to Irene's birthday party on Sunday but Cambrigde is far from where I live but she's worth it!! I will let you know at the end of the weekend what I do end up doing. Any guesses?? Roseville is a very dangerous place for me...Archiver's, Blick Art Materials, and lots more like Roseville Mall. Tami :-)

I thought the power cord was going to catch on fire. I hope you will go to the Memory Box website and check out my Friday guest blog within Dave's blog.

I will post a card on Friday at some point for sure. I'm still accepting signups for my Graphic 45 Class this coming Sunday at the Plymouth Lunds. Let me know if you'd like to join us. We are making five really awesome projects. Happy Friday. Its time for bed and I have to get up in just a few hours. No rest for the wicked they say!! Tami :-)

New Classes!!...

Hey peeps....Its late and I just woke up from the sofa. Darn it I missed most of Desperate Housewives. I am too tired to find a card from my Sunday class at Lunds but I promise to post one on Monday. I had a great class and we always have a blast.

I just updated my blog with this weeks upcoming classes. I hope you will join me. I am showing the Copic video at 5 pm prior to my Copic 101 class . The class is at Anchor Paper in St. Paul .

I've been working off and on this past week on my upcoming Graphic 45 classes. I must say I'm very pleased with my cards. I totally love that company. Their paper is so awesome. I have put my scrapbooking on hold but need to get back to it soon.

I worked at the MN State Fairgrounds on Saturday. I sold tickets and I started to lose my voice at the end of the day on Saturday!! It was SO bitter cold and windy in the am and the lines were long outside just waiting to get in!!! Can you say brrrrrr.....chilley?>!! We had winter again. I could not believe it. When I left at 4 pm the sun was shining and it turned out to be a lovely day. It was SO nice seeing lots of my old/new friends and students. I wish more of you that told me you read my blog would leave me a comment!! Its so NOT hard and its kind of nice you know to get a *little blog love* every now and then!! However with me it is SO NOT a popularity contest with me!! I am so NOT like that....surprise!! Back to the fair! I was a very good girl at the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbooking Expo in the buying department on Saturday!! I tried really hard not to buy a lot of unneccesary *stuff* but trust me I wanted it BAD!! It was complete torture but I had restraint!! I did 3 Make and Takes and bought only two sheets of Graphic 45 paper. I myself am still in shock!! I was naughty on Friday and got a few treats at Smudgestwo The Greeting Farm stamps and I signed up for Leslie's upcoming Magnolia class. I am super excited about that one!! Finally Leslie you get to have me in your class!! One word....WARNING!! As soon as I left the stamp show on Saturday I headed for Archivers in Roseville as I *needed* some peony paper and fancy May Arts ribbon for my BIG Sunday Lunds class!! I did get a few other little treats and then a yummy Starbacks coffee. I hit the road and had to work extra hard on kiting. It was hard work but I pulled off another class. I have the nicest friends and students. It was so fun meeting Rosa!! Thanks Jan!! Tamara and I dined at Chipotle and then I rushed home to call Mama Ellie and Papa. I had to get the family scoop and dish with MOM. I miss my family so much. I hope I am NOT boring you. I'm so chatty for the middle of the nite when I should be in bed getting some beauty rest. Oh I did color my hair around 6 am on Saturday. Bye bye roots and thank goodness for Walgreens and the 10 minute hair color kits!!! You were a lifesaver!! Ok....signing off for now. Peace peeps. Love, Tami :)

I can't sleep once again so I'm on the laptop.

Again, happy Mom's Day. I love my MOM so so much. Big waves to MAMA *Ellie.* She is simply the best Mother ever. xoxoxoxo Can some one please tell me how to get hearts to type? I am so curious on that one? same with smileys?

I have one in St. Paul this coming Saturday, May 16 at 10am and the other in Plymouth on Friday, May 22 at 10am. Anyone want to signup and make some totally awesome cards??
